The last 10 years I have been the cafeteria manager at Haiku Elementary School here on Maui. I recently started woring at the High School here. I love working with kids and have four boys of my own. I have been in the food service industry for over 30 years. My first job was washing dishes at The Old Venice Noodle Company in Santa Monica, California. Since then I have worked in numerous hotels, resorts, and restaurants across the country. This has been the most rewarding job for me by far, both professionaly and personally. In my position, I have seen both a need and a desire for change in school lunches. People all across the country are taking proactive roles in this much needed effort. Here is mine.
